Gadgets to help you loose weight are certainly all the rage and the rage doesn’t look like its going anywhere soon. I bit the bullet an bought my first FitBit several years ago. I went with the zip as I didn’t know if it was going to be my thing. Of course, it had to be pink Fitbit Zip - Magenta. I did then upgrade a few times and currently on the Fitbit Charge 2 Activity Tracker with Wrist Based Heart Rate Monitor - Black/Large. Has it helped me? Yes, being aware of how much you don’t move somedays really had an impact on me and made me move my butt. Have I lost weight? Yes, 2 stone to start then put some back on and now back on the weight loss track.

I found there are several benefits of using a Fitbit when I am trying to lose weight or get fit. Yes, they can be a little pricey, but they have definitely made the weight loss journey and my fitness quest a much easier one.

The Fitbit also helps to keep me focused and disciplined. I am not used to this exercise or keep moving thing so having something on my arm reminding me is good.
The Fitbit measures how many steps I have done daily. It’s strangely addictive to know how you are doing throughout the day and then try to improve on the day before.
It’s logical that the more you move, the more calories you use and hopefully the less you weigh. Or clothes fit better etc.
Do You Really Need a Fitbit To Get Fit or Lose Weight?
No, if you have enough determination and commitment to anything you can do it. But let’s be honest losing weight or getting fit doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a long journey and I know I need shiny gadgets along the way to keep me focused.

Another reason is that when you fork out You hard earned cash for a Fitbit you will want to get your money’s worth. You’re much more likely to get up and get active since you already paid for it and might as well get some use from it.
