When you are younger your skin was probably a bit like mine and peachy soft. We, of course, didn’t appreciate our youthful skin and it still got criticised for anything and everything. We would poke, prod and generally dislike every freckle and dimple. Now older and a little bit wiser I am more forgiving of my skin. It’s doing its job of holding it all in and it does it rather well so I am happy with it.
But as it has been around for a few centuries it does deserve some loving care and help. I have turned to body scrubs. But they cost an arm and a leg and you don’t get much for your buck these days. Your paying more for the packaging and I also want to know what I am putting on my skin.
A sugar scrub cost pennies and although sugar isn’t that great for inside your body it does have benefits on being on the outside scrubbing away the rough and bumpy bits.
The recipe is basically 1./ cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of oil and some lovely smelly bits. You could even make them as presents for Christmas and Birthdays. Pop in a jar and add a ribbon, bingo.
